  • For this research, I will consider the entertainment industry as a societal institution, and I will focus on young children as the learners. I aim to investigate the impacts of media violence on the development of young children. The intended audience for this research includes families, educators, and media platforms

The project is called:

  • MV Research Project.

Theoretical Framework:

The reason why I focused this research on the negative impact of media violence on children draws from several established psychological and sociological theories. First and foremost, the Social Learning Theory posits that children learn through observation and imitation, implying that exposure to violent media can lead to the acquisition of aggressive behaviors and desensitization to violence. Additionally, the Cultivation Theory argues that prolonged exposure to violent content can shape children’s perceptions of reality, fostering a belief that the world is a more violent and dangerous place than it actually is. These theoretical perspectives collectively emphasize the need for careful monitoring of media content and the implementation of age-appropriate guidelines to safeguard children from the deleterious effects of media violence.
